By train: Carbis Bay station is on the St Ives Bay Line, connecting with the Cornish main line at St Erth.
On foot: The South West Coast Path links Carbis Bay, Hawkes Point, Porthkidney and St Ives.
By road: Carbis Bay is reached from the A3074, with local parking options; summer demand can be high.
Make time for
Carbis Bay Beach for sheltered swimming; the headland for wide sea views; Porthkidney Sands for space and dunes; and St Ives for its harbour, galleries and food scene.
Respect cliff edges, tides and signed access restrictions. Cornwall’s coast is beautiful precisely because it remains a living, exposed landscape.
